  1. Benson – there is NO strip club anymore
when you had your Bach Party – it must have been 30+ years ago. We moved there from Queens in 1980 and I vaguely remember a strip club called…”Billys on the Blvd” or something like that right on Port Wash Blvd – that was when PW wasn’t as fancy pants as it is now. PW used to be more working class and then you had Sands Point which is “Gold Coast country”

  2. Cobble, they couldn’t have made it without US technology. Basically, they assembled 7,168 Nvidia Tesla M2050 graphics processing units and 14,336 Intel chips.

Also, the US has been replaced as having the fastest before, only to regain the spot.

China is third after the US and the EU in overall high=performance computing power

If I have children I plan to give them away when they turn 9. I will accept their return at the age of 18, but only if they’ve made plans to enroll in a college no where near my house.

I know a lot of parents who think that way, but you sort of get used to them before they hit the preteen years. Although we had our moments (think Linda Blair as The Exorcist) between age 11.5 and 12.5, mostly she’s worth keeping in the house for entertainment value alone.

  4. cobble, easy answer. china gov sponsors heavily on such things – ie something for them to boast in an area they care to boast (ie high tech). US gov been cutting spending left and right (ie even NASA stuff slashed a lot). Plus most hardcore engineers are not in this country so no surprising we aint in the lead on this stuff
