  1. etson, I suspect that the more politically conservative amongst us, and those who haven’t experienced long term unemployment can’t really relate. But it was pretty hard for me to watch, knowing that I escaped being one of these people by the thinnest margin.

But my point is that I feel like some social contract has been broken. Aside from the self-professed shop-aholic, most of those people were like me, they played by the rules, paid taxes, saved and now the govt/business world is saying “it’s just too damn bad, good luck to you! Hope you find a nice refrigerator box somewhere! We got ours! We’re getting millions of dollars in bonuses! Yay us!” It’s disturbing to me.

  2. i get all my worldly global current events from AM new york.

today there was an article about fashion that made me wanna barf. it appears the children of the original moonfaces of williamsburg are now teenagers. that’s kinda scary and they already filling the shoes (literally in some cases) of their parents’ vapid lifestyles.

  3. “Lady cop at the hair salon is my new hero. Bam! She shoots the gun out of the robber’s hand. Bam! She shoots thelock out of the door so he can’t escape.”

Shes quite the sharpshooter, she should have shot him a new hairstyle too. Like the time Homer gets a gun and uses it to do everthing like opening beer and switching on the TV.

  5. I don’t have time today, but I’m thinking of writing a forum post about the high level of douche-baggery in Park Slope. I had another “incident” with my Board that typifies the douche-baggery.
