  1. Ditto – Proper etiquette for newly married is to say congratulations (he won his suit) to the groom & best wishes to the bride (she is a delicate blossom).

    So, congrats! dcb!

benson – Your experience illustrates precisely why I bought a house instead of being at the whim of idiotic board.

  2. Oh and there’s another mahogany period lampstand in the windlock with a period electrified lamp on it.

Benson, that selection of artwork sounds nice. I have a large reproduction antiqye map of Brooklyn in the hallway leading to the rear stairs.

  3. My foyer is tastefully decorated with a small mahogany hanging period mirror, an oil painting of 19th Century Hong Kong harbour appropriately hung from the picture rail by cord, a small ornate mahogany Victorian lampstand and a tall oil lamp. The walls are a deep beige with a fleur de lys stencil below the chair rail. The carpet and runner are Persian.

This is my submission for GOTD Award as well.

stereotypical ParkSloper – so totally self-involved 24/7 that could never conceive of feeling empathy for anyone.

My ice princess attitude has nothing to do with living in Park Slope. dont you have a missing children’s poster to rip down?
