On the REPOTD…I suspect the architect was maxican. Those small alcove rooms with raised steps for a bed or a bath are VERY Mexican. Get the book Mexican Interiors…there are a lot of great pics of traditional Mexican Interiors. If you’re ever in Cuernavaca…get to the Robert brady museum, a very old convent turned into a queen’s residence!!!!
I had a friend in high school named Portia, but don’t you know all the low-class types in my school (who now send me invites to their Tea Party demonstrations btw) thought she was named after the car but her parents just didn’t know how to spell.
I’ll probably take serious fire for this, but I never believed Anita Hill. She made me quite angry when she popped up with her accusations for what Thomas appropriately described as a modern day lynching.
gem, TARP wasn’t spent to produce jobs. it was spent to shore up the financial system.
If the stimulus money had been properly directed or, IF THE PAYROLL TAX WERE CUT, then maybe there’d be more jobs and growth in the economy.
hat said, the financial business in NYC HAS BEEN HIRING.
You can’t blame Wall Street for EVERYTHING. Wall Street has nothing to do with what it costs here to build a TV, an IPod, a car. Wall Street does not impose barriers on doing business here in the US or making things. The government does.
Another old girlfriend of Clarence Thomas is writing a book about her relationship with him. She said her experience was much like Hill’s. Going to be fun to see how much denial Virgina Thomas can live with.
I know a Sri Lankan / Australian (actually she’s working in the Cayman Islands now) who has just one name: Prasana. That’s her full name. No first or last or anything. Not a traditional thing either, according to her, her father was just kind of a hippie or something. She’s in a fancypants profession, too.

Denton, it’s AMD’s Fusion chip you need to read up and bank on. that’s something they have a 1.5-2 yr lead on Intel.

Demand would rise if taxes were cut.
