Watching poker is about the only thing I can imagine that would be as bad as watching golf. Ugh. Do people really watch poker tournaments on tv and get excited?
When I lived in Chicago, there was an irish bar around the corner on Webster St, right next to the El. On marathon day they’d set up bleechers there under the El and you could bring your drinks out and sit there watching the marathon.
I like to watch the first hour or so of the marathon – just to marvel at the sea of humanity who are so insane as to do it.
And, yeah, that set-up at 15th St. is fun but I don’t make it that far most years. There’s another balcony near 3rd St that does it too.

So what you saying is if I had the fortune to be born a Bush I would have been president?
Biff, mom and I were talking of City Hall saturday night while at City Lobster. She loved when we all worked downtown, brought back her working memories and less tourists than midtown.
dona – Some people like to watch grass grow or paint dry.
Or poker? Who watches poker? These are people in serious need of a life. If anybody ever finds me watching poker, golf, fishing shows, wildlife on wildlife violence shows, I give you permission to put me out of my misery.
I like watching the Marathon on 4th avenue in BK where I can high-five the runners
plus love the band that plays constant rock and reggae at 15th street!!!

Which turned out to be the crime of the century!!!!!

No DIBS, you’re confused. That was the 2000 election.

I’ve got an old L&O SVU on, but I’ve seen this one too many times to count and don’t feel much like paying attention to it.
