  1. I don’t care about the health values, just the taste.

You should write directly to Mr. B about the site. When I bitched to him yesterday he asked for specifics so he’s not following our gripes on the OT.

  2. This sugar thing is complicated, and not that well understood. There have not been that many studies about sugar.

If you want to go by the glycemic index, then some fruits are better than others, generally whole fruit is better than fruit juice, and orange juice and a piece of white bread is not much different than, say, a tablespoon of sugar. And all forms of sugar are pretty much the same, from blackstrap molasses to high-fructose corn syrup to beet sugar to cane sugar. Though I am sure that individually they all have their own special benefits (for example, blackstrap molasses has B vitamins, honey is an antibiotic, etc.).

I disagree with Dave’s doctor that Mexican coke is healthy because it has beet sugar rather than cane sugar. They both have way too much.

  3. Mexican (or Passover) Coke definitely tastes better because it’s made w/ cane sugar not fructose.

Broccoli, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, cabbage are all vile. Asparagus is good as is chocolate.

  4. ewwww, no pete, I haven’t.

I’ve eaten live, wriggling earthworms, right down the hatch so I could feel them wriggle for a split second before they hit the stomach fluid, but no, I’ve never tasted that.
