I am curious also how Paladino will get rid of Silver. I think Silver’s day in the sun is over, very over. And I am sure that there are plenty of people who are more knowledgeable than I am, but it appeared that Paladino drank deeply at the trough of public money with his various public projects, i.e. Empire Zone program.
So Lechacal, you’d vote for Mussolini if he made the trains run on time?”
Oh yes, of course rf. Obviously I’m a fascist – I mean after saying I disagree with the guy I said I don’t attribute a lot of importance to the subject. Anyone who says that must be goose stepping and high saluting all day! Way to connect the dots. You should join a nationally syndicated show as a political pundit.
You know, it just isn’t going to get better than this election. If the present polls are to be believed, here is where we will stand on November 3rd:
-Liberalism will be thoroughly repudiated on a national, state and local basis throughout the US.
-Our true believers on the OT will give out a sigh of relief that Frankie Carl Pasquale was not elected. They will revel in the fact that Andrew Cuomo, Sheldon Silver and the dysfunctional government of New York State will serve as the remaining showcase for liberalism.
And how, exactly, do you think he’S going to get rid of Silver? Silver is elected by his constituents in lower Manhattan, and the Democrats elect him as speaker.
>Babs:It is amazing how polarized people in this country have become, even when they are seemingly from similar upbringins and socio-economic status. To me it is amazing that educated, cultured, worldly individuals could even for a fraction of a second consider that people like Carl Paladino and his ilk should even be taken seriously, let alon believe they can actually competently run this state and country without destroying our personal freedoms and backtacking the social progress made over the last forty years.
Right on! I’m too lazy to post much today, so keep up the good work! Agree with your other posts too. Thanks for countering DIBS, Benson et al.
OF COURSE YOU AGREE WITH THAT CMU. IT SAYS NOTHING. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WHATSOEVER OF SUBSTANCE. JUST A BUNCH OF HOT AIR. WHY DON’T YOU FIND THE PART OF BABS’S POST WHERE SHE DOES SOMETHING OTHER THAN SUMMARILY ATTACK PEOPLE ON THE BASIS THAT EVERYONE JUST AGREES WITH HER AND WITHOUT ACTUALLY ESTABLISHING ANY FUNDAMENTS TO WHAT SHE IS SAYING. GO AHEAD. IDENTIFY HER STATEMETN OF SUBSTANCE. ANY STATEMENT. I DARE YOU. THE PROBLEM WITH UNIVERSAL SUFFERAGE IS THAT ANYONE WOULD ACTUALLY READ THIS AND CONCLUDE THAT IT “COUNTERS” ANYTHING AT ALL.

How, Dave, how would he do that?

DIBS;
Greetings from LaGuardia!

I ask: does it get any better this?
Off to Dallas!
rf, it would be too bad if the Democrats no longer controlled the assembly!!!!!!! Imagine that.
Also, since most of them would sell their own mothers down the road, Paladino can make it so that they’d oust him themselves.
“My daughter is an accomplished fife player ”
You never know when that’s going to come in handy. Just like the Scottish country dancing over rusty blunt swords I was forced to do when I was 11.
OK, so I was just kidding about voting for Palladino.
But, I WOULD vote for Mussolini if he could make the trains run on time.
And how, exactly, do you think he’S going to get rid of Silver? Silver is elected by his constituents in lower Manhattan, and the Democrats elect him as speaker.
