  1. hey, benson —

    It’s just such a great show. I’m on the edge of my seat. Great theater. Of course, if he’s got the goods on Cuomo and reveals it, and it sticks, the game changes. Quite frankly, I can’t see why he’d do this unless he does have the goods. But he keeps doubling down. Great, great political theater.

    Any advice/opinions on how to deal with a miserable manager who makes my daily existence a living hell?

    never, ever, ever, ever, ever, EVER work for white women between the ages of 25 and 45. EVER! that’s the cardinal rule if you want to be happy at your workplace. sorry ladies, but it’s the troof.

    *rob*

  3. Jackal;

    Prior to the primary, I was approached almost every day at the Union St. station by some earnest-looking person urging me to vote for some Democrat committee person or some such position. I would smile at them and say: “I’m a Republican”. They would look at me as if I had just said: “I beat my wife every morning, for good measure”. You could just see what they were thinking: “How dare you defile Park Slope, the land of the pure!!!”.

  4. Re: taxes. After using the same accountant for my entire working life, I am going to change. For several years in a row he has made mistakes that keep the IRS and the State knocking on my door for underpayments. And he is crazy busy, sloppy all over the place. So I did my research and I am going with a new accountant. Very traumatic. But necessary.

    Dibs, re RE taxes, somehow I dont think you are going to get a huge amount of sympathy. BTW, read the Gartman report on gold/commodities. “The circus is in town” ha.

  5. And I’m not sure why, dibs. I firmly believe there is little elected officials can do to deal with unemployment in the long term (other than hire tons of people and run up debt). They need to learn to let the market correct itself sometimes. Bailing out FS and the auto industry was enough. Everything else they’re doing is fruitless, IMO.
