Congress has not passed a budget, they left town.
Congress has not addressed taxes for 2011, they continue
to spend recklessly.
I can go on, but I wanted to go out and enjoy the nice weather and a Snickers bar.

Also, she sounds disorganized as the result of her paranoia. That will be her downfall, especially at an organization like that. Or, she’ll have a nervous breakdown and get carted away to Bellevue on the short bus.
Stubbornness and stoicism are the only things that work in that kind of environment, CGar. Just have to try to stay calm and let her see she’s not getting to you. Remind yourself every morning that you are superior to her. Polite, firm and cold responses are the best. Think WASP.
CGar, I would say you have a serious problem. That woman is out for your blood.
The only thing I can suggest is create/enhance a friendship with somebody in your organization above her and keep dropping hints about what good friends you are.
If you can’t do that, fake the friendship, and drop the same hints. Eventually this will back fire, but it will at least buy you some time with which to develop a plan to stab her in the back.
