Ishtar, I have a tube tv in my bedroom. I can connect my dvd/vcr combo player to it because I have an rf converter. Get one of those and you can connect any new fangled devices to your tube tv.
Serena isn’t unattractive, Snaps. She just happens to look like Ben Wallace with a lovely set of boobs and cheeks.
Cable/Satellite etc really is a racket. Papa Snappy used to bitch about it constantly. His favorite line was, “I go out and spend hundreds of dollars on a tv, bring it home, then I have to pay some bastard each month to *watch it*? SHHHHIIIIIIIIT!” He used to surf channels late at night, find one that was out of whack, call the cable company the next day and demand a discount on the next bill because all his channels weren’t working. He paid for x number of channels, and he expected them all to work and have programming all the time. He was a hoot.
I think that converter box is a waste at this point. I will still have to get a new tv eventually.

I’m not really a first adopter of anything these days. The only reason I’m even getting a new TV is because my tube telly really is obsolete and most of the new devices you can use with TVs these days won’t work with it.
DIBS – that place was built in 1775, i.e. just before things started going downhill.
