You’re right, ENY. That’s sounds like a reasonable step to take. My only concern would be some how giving him the message that something as superficial as race/ethnicity makes someone different from him. OTOH, there is a possibility he already has that view, but in a negative way.
I think it’s just stupid idiots that talk in the movies. no race has a lock on stupidity.
ENY, I remember seeing Apocalypse Now many years ago, long after it first came out, and the crowd was just a bunch of loud, yelling morons. But, by then it was a cult film and people talked just like in Rocky Horror or those wild gays at The Women.
I look forward to the next cut-and-paste characterization of an opponent…. So much better than looking someone in the eye and asking why they think differently than yourself.

Have you all tried talking to him about why he dislikes white people except for his friend? You didn’t say he avoided BLACK strangers. It sounds to me like he’s formulating an attitude that will be a problem for him (and possibly others) in time and you’re kind of shrugging it off. Better talk to him now before it’s too late.

After all, I am a member of the Tea Party. And I oppose the GZ community center, or whatever they are calling it these days.
