Yes dibs, I knew all that. I don’t google search stuff before writing it here (might have originally looked it up on the Internet, I mean I don’t google then post, I consider that a little dishonest actually). I also know that ketchup was brought back from China or possibly another place in east asia by dutch traders in the 16th or 17th century. It was originally called catsiap and was a fish sauce that bore little resemblance to what you know as ketchup. Tomato ketchup is an american thing.
I look up stuff like this so I say random shit at business lunches when there is an awkward pause in the conversation.
I originally looked all this stuff up on disreputable Internet sources like Wikipedia. It’s all probably still there.
