I think they would too. They are all Fujian, as is Xing, which is why they take special care of us. Everytthing else is very good. last week they made me a special Hirame Ponzu.
I will check out Taro in a few weeks after they take reservations and have their liquor license. The woman I spoke to on the phone was definitely Japanese and didn’t sound like whe really knew what was going on yet.
“11217, just called taro…not taking reservations yet, no liquor license and not allowing BYOB :(”
Screw them, then. 😉
I’m stickin’ with Oshima anyway. You *should* have a word with them about the Taro. They seem so nice and accommodating, I’d think they’d try to oblige your request…
Rob and 11217 used to have some hilarious exchanges too, but they seem to have cooled on that.
The G Men are stressing me out, M4L.

11217, lechacal is a nice guy and pretty normal in real life.”

Oh I have no doubt!!
In fact, we used to have a really great rapport here back when he lived a block away. Now that he moved south, I’m too snooty for him. :))
Technically it’s referred to as “frottage.”
