“[T]he more important objection to the Tea Party is its tone and its underlying hostility and racism.”
Well put. Couldn’t agree more.”
Of course you couldn’t. It’s easier than actually thinking about the issues, isn’t it? It’s a nice safe place where you can convince yourself that by characterizing your opponent as racist that relieves you of the obligation to actually think.
Ok so now that most of us Lefties have stated what we don’t like about the Tea Party, Do the Righties care to say why they DO like the Tea Party and why it makes sense for our country to go that way??????
I really don’t see why this is all so hard for people. I can think of about 10 ways to refute every element of the tea party platform that I identified. It’s astonishing to me that you all really can’t move past calling them racist nutjobs.
If you haven’t picked up on it, I’m not a particular fan of the tea party. But if liberals actually miss the opportunity to pick apart the movement with the simplest of tactics – which they are doing – the movement will continue to grow, and I will have no pity for the liberals who continue to just stand on the sidelines picking their noses and impotently shouting insults while it happens.
Dave, a few weeks after this administration took office, the DJIA came off the bottom and is up almost 50% since then. Clearly the market like this administration.
Hal, if you think the bottoming of the market 2 months after Obama got in had anything to do with him you really don’t understand much about what went on….I’m sorry but the financial situatoon of the banks was out of his hands.
