I always use turkey instead of beef and it tastes just fine to me. I don’t do spaghetti sauces at home though. Much prefer to cut up fresh cherry tomatoes and fresh herbs for a topping. Tastes much better. Commercial pasta sauces are a racket. For not much more than the cost of that jar of preservatives, you can go fresh.
And that’s quite a leap for you, as I NEVER said that. You were the one who said you have a list of minority Republicans, as if that proves anything whatsoever. It was YOUR implication, by producing said list, that Republicans were all inclusive.
But you agreed with the idea that the number of “minority” republicans was “negligible”. With the background assumption being that they were being driven away by racist attitudes.
You are also being condescending in assuming that minorities who identify themselves as Democrats are somehow sheep who will follow any Democratic shepherd. Most of us know when or if we are being used or pandered to, and are capable of voting accordingly.
which is why many minorities don’t vote Democratic.
Perhaps it also goes the other way. One could cynically say that the Republican party, by appointing Michael Steele, when the Democratic candidate turned out to be a black man, is pandering to minorities by giving them their own black face in leadership. The fact that Steele is the worst RNC leader they’ve had in years, and a loose cannon and a social embarassment, shows that they were willing to throw any black person up there to counter Obama. The problem was they didn’t have too many to choose from who wanted the position. Bet you won’t see any more for a long time to come. But that would be cynical
MM,
why would it be panedering to elect a highly qualified individual as a representative. Does everything have to be seen through the prism of race? As long as individuals are allowed to have a free will in our society, you will have Republicans of all color. Despite the attempts of the Left to censor and cut off any opposing viewpoints, as when there was only ridicule for Justice Thomas or Secretary of State Rice.
Funny, I’m chatting with someone who fits that description right now on silverdaddies. Making plans to see him on Sunday. Not sure if we’ll get into a discussion about plitics or religion but there sure as hell will be some sinning going on!!!!!
My professional friend just caled me and said the ASPCA is taking 7 cats ffrom his home for adoption this week, another 7 next week. “Then I’ll have only 7 or 8 left and I’ll keep 3 or 4.”
cmu, the theory of evolution is full of unanswered questions and, to use a popular phrase, missing links. Our current working theories are the best we have using the scientific method, but they are just theories (in the vernacular, not scientific, sense). To say that you know in any absolute sense the manner in which the human species developed is to claim that you know more than the best minds in this field.
Please Deadcatbounce, if you as versed in scientific theory as you profess to be you know full well that evolutionary theory is falsifiable. Fine-tuning a theory or expanding on it is not the same as overturning it.
And your idea that “Many people rally against “creationism” because they believe in evolution” is arse-upwards. “Creationism”, (not the story of creation in the bible), is a movement that only exists in opposition to evolutionary theory. Naturally, those who oppose creationism do so because it is borne from some attempt to discredit evolutionary theory.
