really, 5’6″?….the pictures make him look tall. Maybe he is one of those who always has something to stand on or won’t get his pic taken with tall people.
Did he recommend and good porno sites?
“Etson, I think it is that those guys mumble. Or am I going deaf?”
I think people on UK TV tend to speak more quietly. When I first moved to the US I couldn’t understand why the newsreaders etc all seemed to be shouting.
Now when I listed to the BBC news it sounds like they are all whispering b/c my ears are accustomed to the US style.

Strange about the Segway guy. Sad. Re Benson’s comment about texting, I saw a skateboarder in traffic the other day, going wrong way, texting. I think I am giving the Camry a little break. I can’t take the street chaos anymore. Also, a TRAFFIC cop (at 6th and Bergen) was waving me on into traffic she was waving toward me, essentially orchestrating a traffic accident. When I started yelling at a cop, I realized that the subway might be a nice change.

“wow cgar… can i lend you a tampon!?”
No, thanks, *rob*. Given your mood today, I’m guessing you need every tampon you can get your hands on for yourself.
benson, there’s a similar statue at Odate station, his hometown. The name of the Professor who owned the dog was Ueno.
Here’s the whole story including a pic of the stuffed dog…

hey dibs,
yes Paladino.
He’s quite unassuming in person.
about 5foot 6, somewhat soft spoken.
Doesn’t come across as mean spirited,
more like concerned.
Benson, have you ever walked around the old section of UENO, all the little shops that survived WWII? Love that area.
I think Benson got it. Texting + segwaying = death.

Donatella;
I think there is also such a statue in Ueno station.
