“what I am mad at is that there are so many great talented unemployed people out there all competing for the same job that now b/c the economy has changed so much businesses are underpaying for the same job they would have paid $15K more for 2 years ago – that’s what makes me mad. am not really scared yet as it’s only been 3 months – but talk to me in 6 months or 9 months and I maybe in panic mode. also am fortunate enough to have cash savings to last me a few more months
but today’s job hunt in this market is VERY different from any other time in the last 20 years”

it’s because in so many industries there are fifty thousand moonfaces lined up out the door to do the work for FREE! we would be so much better off if we stopped allowing people to move to NYC from certain states. There’s enough talent in California, New York, and New Jersey to fill all the jobs here. Screw the rest of the country! grow your damn tomatos at your uncle pappy’s farm, not the gowanus canal

Right. It blows my mind that a bunch of wealthy Cubans in Miami have controlled our policy with that country for so long.
