Thank goodness the lice that like black people are still in Africa.
when black people get lice im pretty sure they go to duane reade, get some RID and wash their hair. they probably dont whine about it on blogs and call the NY Times.
M4L, regarding the paint job on those pictures, half of the pictures show the shiny black rice krispie railing that the guys did at first. I flipped out when I came home one day when they took the highest of high gloss black rustoleum and painted right over the crusty rusty railings. The whole thing was gross. So in my characteristically calm fashion, I called up Millad telling him what a FREAKING MESS it was and he came over to tell me how much he liked me and how he thought of me like his mother (MAKING IT MUCH MUCH worse). Anyway, the guy came through, getting a worker to scrape the shit off the railing, get down to the metal and repaint it. All’s well that ends well.
wasder, I didn’t know KK wrote it. Interesting. Yes, I was thinking of the version made famous by JJ.
“obviously of Italian heritage”
There you go again! Always denigrating the Italians!
“black people can get lice. It’s just pretty rare.” – as rare as black people in Iowa?
randi, stick to something you actually can speak intelligently about. A backyard garden is not a “farm.”
Oh wait………
never call growing veggies in brooklyn farming. it gets people around here really worked up. sigh. PLUSAs…..

“That’s also Janis Joplin, donatella. Me & Bobby McGee.”
Hate to be the lyrical school-marm Cgar but that is actually Kris Kristofferson. Janis recorded the most famous version of the song but KK wrote it.
