  1. the 95,000-square-foot Niketown store in the heart of Midtown Manhattan closed the store because of the presence of bedbugs. A sign posted over the weekend said the story is “temporarily closed until further notice,” according to CNN affiliate WABC.

Where is BHO? He could tell us that bedbugs are going to kill the tourism, retail ecomomy of our city, which then will cause local depression(oops, I mean continue the depression) and houses will go for 75% off.

  2. Legion- first of all I am not up for bashing religious folk. I am for bashing rightwing religious nutjobs, who will, as you may recall, have not treated Jews all that well. ( a remedial Europeon history course might also be in order). The majority of religious people I respect for their beliefs- its only those who don’t respect mine I have a problem with.

As for his seeming lack of religious conviction- what you really mean is, “according to my right wing, ultraconservative perception I choose to believe Obama the Muslim does not show enough Christian religious conviction for my taste.”

I don’t drink Kool-aid. Unlike you devotees of Faux News and Sarah Palin, I think for myself.

And the Fibonacci series- although beautiful( and Gee- I bet you thought none of us dolts on the OT would know what it was?) doesn’t come with a label that says “Proof of G-d.” Claiming we don’t understand the universe as proof of G-d makes about as much sense as claiming the color red doesn’t exist because you are color-blind. All it means is the state of our knowledge has not caught up yet with the universe. We’re human. We aren’t born omniscient- we are born to learn.

  3. I remember a long time ago when I was going through a teenage rebelion phase and was a radical atheist my (jewish) girlfriend’s mother cross-examined me on religion and wouldn’t take atheist as an answer. “What kind of atheist are you?” she pestered until I conceded I was a christian atheist.
