I got the urge to be a mom when I was 40. Tried the “natural” way with then-boyfriend for years, to no avail. Gave up, then one day I heard about adopting from China and signed up immediately. 1.5 years later I was in Hangzhou meeting the love of my life.
Definitely the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Can’t imagine being 65 and childless. Makes me want to live as long as possible to be able to have my daughter in my life and maybe grandchild/ren. (and no, I don’t expect my daughter to take care of me in my old age; in fact, that worries me a lot.)
Jessi, I am not saying do it or don’t do it, but you don’t have to be rich to be a good parent and to enjoy it.
I would think most schools like this now. Who had the airplane story here recently?
Last year I made cookies for a family thing, sent my nephew into severe reaction (he was 15) to the cashews.
Guess he has developed tree nut allergy. For him peanuts are o.k.
It is your job to have kids. None of this wishy-washy business. I’m willing to pay all those school taxes to send the buggers to school, and you have to raise them so they can pay my social security, medicare. That is the deal.

“Would you do anythin for $2.50?
yes, 2 or 3 days before payday, i probably would.”
If ENY was here, I’m certain he would offer to give Rob $2.50 to shut up until payday.

If someone hears about a SBF in Crown Heights jumping from a building it’s ishtar and it’s because she got pregnant.
Just kidding. I would be terrified, though.
DIBS, I am surprised at you. They absolutely do – it’s considered very insulting.
“having a baby = Best thing that’s ever happened in my life. So much joy. I want another one.”
I have two; take your pick.
^^^^^ kidding.
If my kid develops any allergies, I’m gonna slap the shit outta him.
