  1. Ain’t no mid-level VP making any where near $200k in state gov’t. The governor’s salary is $179k. So top execs of large agencies(thousands of employees) are probably around $150k.

Except in Bell CA where town supervisor of 35,000 was making $800K a year.

Did anybody watch the VMAs? I took a little gander. Popular music nowadays scares me.

Sticking with the Perry Como and Lawrence Welk?? 😉

  3. M4L, do you watch the games on TV or listen on the radio?
I got used to the radio and it is interesting to try to visualize everything. John Sterling is kind of a goof ball, (A bomb from ARob!!! The Yannkkeees win!!!) but he is a good announcer. Sometimes I watch TV with no sound with Sterling yelling on the radio.

  4. “Burberry is such a dated, old fuddy duddy brand ” — are you trying to suggest I should wear one? (know any 2nd hand shops where I could find?)

I couldn’t agree more – no one in the country knows about Blue Marble except certain Brooklyn folks – maybe city folks but that’s about it!

nope. all that artisinal crap is ubiqutious across the entire country in every big and medium sized and even small city. just do some research online. fugly beardos and moonfaces hawking 20 dollar pieces of crap from trucks ALL OVER THE COUNTRY. it’s kinda scary and gross. hahah, but typical i guess. it is absolutely NOT brooklyn specific.

other than ridiculously high rent, there is nothing that sets NYC apart from anywhere else.
