ok phew I didn’t want to sound insensitive I just feel like these families are never allowed to move on b/c everyone is so busy creating tributes every year that they must attend and show up and participate in and relive their sorrow year after year
I agree on bagpipes – I used to love the haunting sound but it cuts like a knife more than ever
11217, have you ever lived in Chicago? I was there from 78 to 1994 and absolutely loved it. It’s such an easy place to live as well. Quality of life is extremey high, or at least was when I was there.
I wonder how bagpipes were invented. I mean, who thought that out?
“I know! I’ll get a bag and attach pipes to it and squeeze the bag, which will produce an unimaginably dissonant sound. And we will convince people it is music. That would be great!”
11217 – I loved Oregon too -I didn’t spend too much time in portland b/c my friend at the time was living in Eugene so we visited Portland for the day that we flew into and then drove all the way to Eugene. It’s like BK but so much more “bucolic” I loved the houses and the quiet streets in Eugene and just how everyone was so into the environment and the food!
I really enjoyed my time there

11217, if you leave, may I buy your studio? That maintenance is to die for.

I think I must be too young for the reference, Dave…? ;-P
Turn in your gay card, missy.
For me, if I were to leave NYC, my ranking in order of preference would be:
1. Portland
2. Seattle
3. Chicago
