  1. “waspy family dynamics where you dont have to do anything you dont want to and no one will question you on it.”

Rob, WRONG, Wrong, Wrong, again. WASPs can be extremely narrow, rigid and controlling. They’re just super super subtle about it. It’s all practically completely unspoken or spoken behind your back. Super competitive. Super critical.

  2. that’s horrible. which is why i think i much prefer waspy family dynamics where you dont have to do anything you dont want to and no one will question you on it. emotional detatchment and ice cold hearts make for good families. certain cultures seem to have a seriously clingy family atmosphere.

HAAAAAAAAA -ok, that was funny! – true some cultures do have more family commitments than others! Whenever I go to my uncles house where his wife is a different culture than my uncle – there is NO way of leaving early – none without getting the barrage of “where are you going” why are you leaving already (mind you we’ve been there 5 hours already)
    Guess which culture they are?

  3. From what I have seen / recall she comes across as a very practical get-the-job-done type. She works well with the mayor and seems good at keeping some of the wilder council members in line.

  4. quote:
hmmm, well I think it’s more the pull of family. My friend is jewish and she is SWAMPED at work right now and totally stressed to have to take off the next 2 days. But she has to b/c her family expects her to come home and be with them during the holidays.
