lech, I’m not religious, but if I HAD to work on Christmas or Easter I’d be upset as hell and would fight to have those days off to spend time with my family who are religious.
There is no double standard. You’re creating it. What you don’t see is that people (while not being religious) may want to celebrate and be with family.
I wasn’t asking for anyone to feel sorry for me ET. I don’t and don’t expect you to. I’m just saying that there shouldn’t be a double standard for people in this position, where some religious holidays are untouchable, like telephones an email don’t even work, while others are very much not. That’s all.
Lechacal: I meant exactly what I said. Every single one. There is not a single day of the year I have not worked. I’m an M&A lawyer, not a bank teller. Regular business hours are pretty much irrelevant.
Then your problem has nothing to do with religious holidays.
“Name ONE major Christian holiday when you had to work.
They are mostly either National Holidays, land on a Sunday, or in the case of Good Friday, the financial markets shut down.”

jessi, where did it come from?

“jessi, why did you throw it out?”
It made me feel creepy, even though it was a gift. I recall it creeped Rob out as well.
I don’t understand “white anglo-saxon protestant”.
How many non-white anglo-saxons are there?

Lech, I don’t feel sorry for you having to work EVERY DAY of the year. You choose that career.
“i mean it more in the terms of white atypical sourceless progeny! which is what i consider myself to be on the days i dont feel black.”
rob, you’re a hoot!
