  1. Herpes Simplex, the kind you get on your lip (aka cold sore) is a herpes virus which remains dormant under the surface of the skin close to your nerve endings. When your body is stressed out, i.e. fighting off a cold or some illness, it activates. It is a different strain than the STD, Herpes, though related. The active ingredient lysine helps to speed healing.

    That is a little science lesson. Now DIBS, about doorknobs…. That doesn’t sound like too much fun, but that IS a nice hotel in NOLA. 🙂
