One more thing regarding Kate Winslett: I think it is really low class to lobby for your own award. Apparently she was talking herself up all over town, and at the same time,putting ole Meryl Streep down with the line that “she’s already had her turn”.
Memo to Kate: Kate, if you are as good as you think you are, you don’t have to get Time magazine to put you on the cover and lobby that you should really win this time. Not classy at all. Your work will speak for itself, Oscar or no Oscar.

You win! That’s the other dress I liked.
Tina Fey was wearing a very flattering dress, but she had an unfortunate “Olive Oyl’ style bun. Hair is hard to get right. Merryl Streep had her hair done well. Elegant but not weird.
Methinks Kate Winslet has been reading her own press clippings a bit too much.
True Dave, he seems like a sweetheart too. Not at all jaded yet.
Memo to Sophia Loren;
Sophia, please learn the meaning of the phrase: “quit when you are at the top of your game.” At the least, please don’t wear make-up that makes your skin look like a cheap tan job.
I was happy to see Slumdog win the accolades it deserves.
THL: I am totally missing Kate Winslett. What was with that hair? Also, was it just me, or did she appear to have a half-snear on her face half the night?
