They were real if you looked closely at them they had jardin (french for garden) which is the common industry term for the inclusions that, in emeralds, are common and do not affect value. Looking for jardin is a pretty surefire indicator of a natural stone. They were museum quality and most likely on loan from a jewelers private collection.
Sarah Jessica Parker looked like the good witch Glinda from the Wizard of Oz. Too poofy. and the bodice looked painful.
Hugh Jackman wins mny vote as sexiest although I liked the way Robert Downey looked, so thin and fresh-faced, one would never know he’s been through the ringer.
Beyonce was in good voice, but I think she may be a little too ubiqutous.
Oh, and I just remembered who really had the worst dress, Whoopie Goldberg. What was she thinking?
Rob, you are totally missing the storyteller’s art, and the ability of film to show us the best and worst of humanity. I’ve been tremendously and unforgettibly moved by stories of love, sacrifice, honor and courage, as well as repelled by greed, hate, envy and jealousy. A good movie takes us to places we’ll never go, or places that never were, or will not be again. There are movies that have changed lives, or inspired people to great things. There are movies that have just been fun, funny and entertaining. It’s so much more than botoxed actors speaking stupid lines, or Hollywood hype. Watching an actor create unforgettable characters is appreciating good writing, direction, and all of the art of moviemaking, as well as seeing some incredible talent.
Because I’ve been involved in various, admitedly minor, forms of the theatrical arts on both sides of the boards and camera, I really appreciate film and theatre for the skills and tremendous talents involved, and nothing beats the comraderie of the creative process, and the personal satisfaction of a project well done.
I think that Angelina’s earrings are too green and too clear to be natural emeralds. I think they are faux. Real emeralds don’t look like that, although -who knows?
I liked Penelope’s Cruise dress, Balmain, from the 1950’s.
I also liked Angelina’s dress, showed off her incredible figure. Heidi Klum’s outfit looked like it ripped apart while she was getting out of the limo.
The worst dress of the evening was not Beyonce’s it was Sophia Loren’s.
Agreed, Whoopi was wearing something we’d see on “Housewives of Mill Basin.”

Cuba Gooding was very funny, and I nearly fell out of the chair laughing when Ben Stiller came out.
Daniel Craig- yep. But I’ve always had a thing for Anthony Hopkins (older man thing goin’ on here).
Thought Natalie Portman looked so beautiful in that pink dress, hated the Tomei dress. Reminded of those awful artichoke dresses of the 80’s

No not Amy Adams…although I thought she looked good.
Let me try to find it.
I also thought Meyrl Streep looked very elegant.
Daniel Craig

BRG–Amy Adams in red?
I loved those earrings on Angie too.
