  1. bxgrl, Legion, I think I speak for all of us when I say we we love you both dearly (nh). Really, we do. All of us. Even benson. And, by all means, you two have it. Debate away. Play the game that two can play.

But for the sake of the rest of us, especially those of us who are now or soon will be trying to post subtly at work from an open trading floor and/or a new job, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, WILL YOU PLEASE LEARN HOW TO POST A LINK RATHER THAN CUT AND PASTE THE ENCYCLOPEDIA BRITANNICA!!! Thank you very much.

  2. Biff, I remember that post of *rob’s* too. It was very moving. And I think he had another really moving post about an experience growing up in Section 8 housing. Will have to look for them (yes, I know, really pathetic).

And, jester, I thought that story about your father saving the $50 and buying your mother a new coat was very touching.

  3. Lovely story, IJ.

CMU- I agree the Israelis were idiotic in their response. And this is the information about the Iman and Perdana from their website:

““Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is a member of the Perdana Global Peace Organization, which is a funder of the flotilla that attempted to deliver aid to residents of Gaza.”
Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf has never been a member of this group. Several years ago, Imam Feisal was invited to Malaysia, the most moderate Islamic country in the world, to participate in a Peace Conference sponsored by the Perdana Peace Group. He was one of the hundreds of speakers present. He has no political, advisory or business affiliation of any nature with the Perdana group. A photo of Imam Feisal was taken at the conference, and this has been used to “prove” his membership in the Perdana Global Peace Organization, but the allegation is false. Because of the controversy surrounding Perdana, we have requested the Perdana Group to remove the photo of him from their publicity.”
