The fat free Fage yogurt really isn’t very good. Needs to be at least 2%. (and the full fat one has waaay too much fat and calories for a stupid yogurt).
The Japanese folks I worked with were nuts-lovable nuts, but nuts nonetheless
they worked all hours of their day and night and thought nothing of calling me at 8pm on my cell or 7am on my cell
Am like – um hello – we all work in the music biz – we aren’t even in a serious business like Finance
BTW – I loved each of them because they were so nutty and made our artists feel like kings when they arrived in Japan but I seriously wondered how good they were at their jobs simply for the fact that none of them slept – wouldn’t delirium set in at some point?
My sister had an extra ticket to a Bruce show a while ago, and offered it to me. “No thanks,” I said.
I like the line in “Nothing Man” that goes
“You can call me Joe
Buy me a drink and shake my hand
You want courage
I’ll show you courage you can understand
The pearl and silver
Restin’ on my night table
It’s just me lord
pray that I’m able.”
and then the weird hushed chants at the end. They’re hypnotic.

I’m doing something very fun tonight. I’m going to see the retrospective film “The Beat That My Heart Skipped” (“De Battre Mon Coeur S’est Arrete”) at BAM. Innocent man vs. French gangsters! Yeah! Saw it when it came out in 2005. And a rooftop party in BH beforehand.
“I don’t think Americans are very smart, but I give extremely high credit for democracy and choices by its people,” he said. “They chose a black president for the first time in U.S. history,” adding that he thought once that would never be possible.”
When will we see a Japanese president of Korean ancestry?
Most Japanese politicians are considered the bottom of the social barrel. Most can’t speak English and the person in question probably never even met an American. It sounds like the kind of crap I used to hear when I worked there during the bubble years, when we were supposed to be learning at the feet of the masters. One thing that is absolutely amazing is that the LDP was actually voted out of power, which is testament to the fact that Japanese people cared enough about their own deterioration to vote. And working here with the top of the Japanese food chain is not particularly impressive either.
“we also had two tranny presidents, but no one ever makes a big deal about that.”
Rob, the fact they wore powdered wigs and stockings doesn’t mean they were trannies. As for having a cross-dressing Director of the FBI; that’s another story.
“uh, well for what it’s worth that have been MANY US Presidents with black ancestry”
I know I shouldn’t, but I’ll bite: ok, rob, WHO?

Denton,
If you want the REAL news about Japan, you must go to the North Korean official news agency. Here is their English-language feed.

Curse those imperialist running dogs!
Aren’t we going to pursue the discussion on “tranny Presidents” any further????

So basically by removing the M train, they didn’t replace the M with a few extra R trains to haul passengers??

Says a Japanese politician:
“I don’t think Americans are very smart, but I give extremely high credit for democracy and choices by its people,” he said. “They chose a black president for the first time in U.S. history,” adding that he thought once that would never be possible.”
