  1. “im afraid of getting punched in the face and possibly going blind if glass pierces my eyeballs. it’s a personal safety issue denton, not a vanity one.”

Yes, but the upside of glasses versus contacts is they are more effective in protecting you from flying breast milk on the subways.

  2. “He had bad pain and had to wear big thick glasses until it corrected itself. That made an indelible impression on me and I was always afraid of contacts.”

This is a sickness, Donatella – you should seek help.

  4. “My mother threw a few raisins in her Challah for Rosh Hashanah “for a sweet New Year” and that was fine.”

I put my nuts in someone’s Challah once. I was never invited back for the Rosh Hashanah festive meal after that.

  5. In a previous life a long time ago, when people wore hard contact lenses, I had a boyfriend who wore them and then went though some wierd thing with the shape of his eyeball being affected. He had bad pain and had to wear big thick glasses until it corrected itself. That made an indelible impression on me and I was always afraid of contacts. I wear glasses and these days I pretty much need to wear them to read anything or drive so I am wearing them most of the time.
