  1. Rob,

Loving and having pride in where you live is important.

You are not one to judge me since you hate everything and everyone. Your lack of respect for this city shows in every comment you make here. It shows in the lack of respect you have for others, and most importantly in the lack of respect you have for yourself.

  2. “CGar, I thought of Jack the Horse and a few others, but just put “etc.” instead of listing them all.”

Guess I’m just more anal than you (nh). 😉

And LMAO to Last Exit being “mine”.

I also say to those around the country who oppose it…STFU! You don’t live in New York and this city is a beacon for this country as a place of freedom.

LOL. not economic freedom. or the freedom of carrying and owning a gun. you know, i could go on and on and on.

    *rob*

  4. jb, what a memory!. It’s still the crusiest place I’ve ever lived. Capote probably still stalking the hood, though instead of long shoremen, he get the DLs from the farragut houses.

  5. Benson, I thought what you thought too initially. But I changed my mind. I think they did a bad PR job, but it is not on the site. It is a good walk away. I said Barclays yesterday, but I think Park Pl, where the Burlington Coat Factory is. And I think it is wrong to equate the practice of the faith with the terrorist act that occurred.

  6. Benson,

Many of the family members have spoken out in favor of the mosque, and there was a mosque there before the World Trade Center even opened. Those are 2 facts often missed in this idiotic debate.

I also say to those around the country who oppose it…STFU! You don’t live in New York and this city is a beacon for this country as a place of freedom. I don’t think anyone outside NYC has any say in the matter at all, and quite frankly I don’t care what their views are on the subject. Keep your own towns free of immigrants, mosques, whatever else you want to do and watch your town die off and become even more irrelevant than it already is, but don’t you dare tell us how to do things in NYC. This is the city which should (and HAS) been leading the way in this country with regard to freedom and a defeat on this mosque issue will be a very sour turning point in this city.
