Loving New York City doesn’t mean chaining yourself to it for life, but while you’re here why not make the most of it.
I don’t know for sure whether I’ll be here forever or not (I think I’d always like to have a place here) but I can envision myself moving outside the country on a more permanent basis.
But while we’re here, let’s embrace it and love it. It’s only going to give us back what we put into it. Much like life, love and everything else this world has to offer.
…I followed them apace in my car, with the darkness of night and the distance ensuring my clandestine maneuvers.
They turned the corner past a group of newly build townhouse/condos and the wailing continued.
I didn’t notice any words between them or any physical harm
at any point except the firm grip of the man on the child’s wrists.
they walked down the block towards a small home with a screen door and a woman standing behind it waiting.
At that point, upons seeing the noisy pair ascend the stairs into the quaint home with momma waiting, I accelerated quickly past them to the end of the block where I made a U-turn and returned to my abode.
…secure in the knowledge that there was one noisy little girl who wasn’t going to watch the High School Musical marathon this weekend.
I can’t stand screamers, donatella. I sat in front of one on a place recently. All the father did was tell his jackass of a kid he couldn’t have more juice until after he finished his sandwich. This kid freaked out half the passengers in the back of the plane. The flight crew even came to see what was going on. I felt so bad for the dad. The kid was also acting like a jerk before we boarded. I guess some kids are just extra vocal.
