  1. “do you think if you were starting out TODAY you’d be in the same place you are now in 10 years?”

Yes. I have no doubt. But I don’t give up easily and that has been a helpful thing in making life work here for me.

  2. quote:
kids graduating college now are worse off than 10 years ago as far as cost of living / salaries.

ha. perhaps they shouldnt have gotten useless degrees? shrug. but i guess no one had a crystal ball or anything about that and it’s better to major in something you enjoy… but if you graduate now with an degree in math, science, or medicine i think you ARE better off than people who did that 10 years ago, no? and dont call them kids. they aree adults, and have been adults for 4+ years.

i cant stand the infantalism of america.

  3. “”Almost every person in this country can trace their roots to those who passed through Ellis Island because New York was the symbol of freedom.”
Not me. 1660, Dover, New Hampshire.’

    Nor me. 1999, JFK Airport.

  4. “Freedom does not equate to being physically and mentally able to make a living and be a success in NYC (or anywhere for that matter). All are welcome to give it a shot, however.”

do you think if you were starting out TODAY you’d be in the same place you are now in 10 years?

  5. MONTROSE MORRIS!!!!! Don’t try to hide from me over there. I SEE you. bxgrl gave you up. ^^^ Now that you’ve told about me, I’m gonna tell about YOU.

And you can talk to the hand from now on, Mr. Famous Dead Architect.

  6. are spiders a deterrant? i have a few spiders (oddly). they keep making cobwebs on my seashell collection on my windowsill. my dog is also amazing at hearing / smelling any kind of bug or fly from roomas away and will and eat it. so that’s a deterrant. there are skanks on the right and skanks on the left of the apartment so id imagine bedbugs would go there first. also they are attracted to potassium, so to try to avoid getting them one thing you can do is try to get as little potassium in your diet as possible.

it sucks cuz i used to love taking free stuff from the street and stoop sales, i guess i cant do that anymore 🙁 i sorta wanna buy a kindle or something now cuz they can hide in books. ew!

there’s a woman in the west village who sells a certain crystal as well that keeps them away. she’s probably a scam, but i might still look into it

  7. “you can’t take the bed bugs out of the bean bag”

Since none of you losers will shortcut the afternoon OT for me, thank you very much, ewwwwwwww, I see that the bedbugs have made it from *rob*’s laundry room to *rob*’s beanbag. Guh-ross.
