  1. Street pushers just sell the dirty shit right? (crack, heroin)

I’ve always wondered why anyone takes the risk selling in the open anymore- but i guess crack/smack addicts probably don’t have blackberries to email/call their dealer to ‘stop by’

  2. Snappy, most every place has a decent gruyere. It’s not a cheese that you eat as an appetizer or for a cheese course on its own, it’s a form of swiss that always gets melted….think mac & cheese, potao & leek au gratin…..

  3. quote:
Rob, what is wrong with giving kids free metrocards to get to and from school? Rural areas have free bus transportation, we have public transportation. How is a kid from a poor family supposed to get to school?

ha! ive stated numerous times before mys tance on that, they SHOULD get free passes for school… i was only making a joke to denton that i dont think they should get them anymore (cuz of my frustration with them taking away the M line). of course i think kids should still get free metrocards for school.

    *rob*

  4. “Why the hell are you yelling, ENY?”

Because I’m guessing you’re asleep, since you won’t answer the question. There are SO many other neighborhoods. Why not leave CH south altogether? That way, you won’t have to walk through CH North. Problem solved!

  5. Cobble and Denton, where do you buy your gruyere cheese? I’m thinking of getting some from Fresh Direct, but maybe I wanna see it in person first? How do you choose a good gruyere?

  6. Well, cobble, I think people and their awful spawn are a quality of life issue, spitting is a quality of life issue, disruptive behavior in public in general is a quality of life issue. If there is some utopian place to live that I missed, please let me know.

I guess I shouldn’t complain about anything or else it turns into a “why don’t you do *this*” convo. *rolling eyes*

  7. “denton, they can still sell drugs. Maybe with it being legal than can use that money to pay some landlord rent instead of lowering the property values by standing on corners, in front of bodegas, and being a blight.”

Maybe. That ain’t the way I see it. There will be a move to standardize the product, to make it safer, and entrepreneurs with deep pockets will get in the biz. All the kids in the hood will be forced out, and then what will happen to tens of thousands of people for whom violence is a way of life but who are making a living. I don’t think they’ll all end up working a 9 to 5 at HSBC.
