I am convinced sardines are something you have to have grown up on. As I said, I WANT to like them and I buy them occassionally and eat them as some kind of act that makes me sensible/intelligent about my health, except I don’t like the way they taste. Not as bad as liver (but same idea — eating liver is good for you).
had a fantastic lunch at blue hill at stone barns this weekend up near tarrytown. so beautiful up there! if i was gonna do the burbs i could definitely mess with tarrytown
They’re awesome Dona. I just had a second tin because writing about the first one made me hungry for more. I could survive happily on nothing more than preserved fish products and hot sauce. Unfortunately my wife thinks it’s all super gross. She won’t make out with me for hours after I binge on sardines / pickled herring / etc.
I wish I could be excited about a sardine lunch, Lech. It is extremely healthful — high calcium, omega fats, low calorie, low cost. But boohoo….I don’t like them. I wish I did.
Tarrytown is where I go to escape NYC. The Marriott up there is so serene. I go, check in, order room service and watch tv. Relaxing.
legion, I luv ya, but sardines are disgusting.

Sardines are just too stinky for me to get through. Almost as bad as chittlins.
hi donatella,
did you prefer the gloss black to the flat black for your banisters?
which do you think is more correct?
that sounds real good with some fresh
Italian bread lechacal,
cobble, you have to agree with lechacal on that
lunch at least. 😉

My daughter has been mixing tuna with bbq sauce instead of mayo.
