“she shouldn’t have any trouble carrying it up the stairs without scuffing the walls.”
Nice thought, delepp, but no, it’s very difficult to avoid. Even if you carry the bike on the inside near the railing as opposed to against the wall. I’d say every 3rd trip up or down I make a mark. Some of them come off with the Magic Eraser thing.
dona, As a tenant that has to schlep her bike up two flights of steps, I would seriously love to be able to lock my bike out front, inside or outside the gate. Seriously. And it would save a lot of those horrible black marks on the walls from when I carry it up and down. (Which I try very hard not to do, but it’s near impossible.)
Actually, the next time I move, it may well be into a well-run rental. One of the things I’ve come to not like about condo living is that the Board often consists of jerks who know nothing about professionally running a building. This situation is a case in point. They don’t want to offend poor Katlin or (Insert favorite Park Slope mommy name here)and tell her to clean up her act. A professionally-run rental building won’t deal with crap like that.
donatella, you were on silverdaddies???? Did you see my profile with my handsome pic in front of the wild boar fountain in Florence???
Mr. Clean Magic Erasers get rid of those black tire marks cobble easily, ive done it before.
*rob*
If all goes as I expect on the call tonight, we’re buying RBCN.
