  1. How many people are still working on the census? Too many it seems.

As you know I bought a 2 family, left what I needed in place to keep it a legal 2fam, using it as a 1 fam.

The census sent me 2 forms. I filled them both out, sent letter of explanation about only 1 fam in building.

Few weeks later bearded hipster with census ID on bicycle comes knocking, I very politely give him recap.

Yesterday I come home, some guvment asshole leaves note on door with note, ‘2 bells, 2 family’? I left her a nice rant on voice mail.

This is why no one likes the government.

  2. rob, I suppose your credit is screwed. Why am I not surprised?

Here’s how I teach the kids that work for me how to get credit.

Save yourself some money is a savings account, like $500. Can u handle that?

Then, open up what is called a ‘secured’ credit card. Basically, they put a hold on the $500 in your savings, and give it to you as a line on a mastercard. Therefore, no risk to bank. Use it here and there, pay it back on time. After a coupla years, they’ll let you un-secure the card if you’ve been a good boy.

Of course you have seen your credit report, right? Sometimes there is stuff on there that is not even yours.

  3. “is it true that Strong credit worthy individuals and businesses are NOT able to get credit from banks? I have personal and recent experience indicating that’s not true”

    It’s not true.

    1. I have a fairly good-sized heloc with most open. It was not down-sized.
    2. I have a large credit line on my mastercard, none used. None canceled.
    3. I re-fied primary rez a coupla months ago, 4.75 fixed 20 years. Microscope on the paperwork, but done.
    4. re-fieng second home now, 4.25 fixed 15 year. Again, microscope on the doc, but almost ready to close.
    5. My company has a large line, we dip in and out. TARP bank, no problems.
