How come all the trust fund kids got the census jobs and not actual NYC poor people?
while i doubt they were actually trust fund kids i know what you mean. but they are the ones who have high rents to pay! NYC poor people generally make more in benefits (section 8, public housing, free healthcare, free childcare, food EBT cards, the list goes on and on) than a college graduate. why WOULD they get off their lazy asses?
dibs is totally correct on that. apparently work is for suckas! NYC’s “poor” can learn a lot from immigrants.
So what do you do when a former employer from maybe 35 years ago contacts you cuz coincidentally he saw some of your photos somewhere? And it happens he was running the place and it was perhaps the worst place I ever worked in?
It was so bad I got a petition going to the owner (in another city) and actually contacted the Teamster’s union to see if we could get unionized (yeah dibs sometimes employers bring unions on themselves).
Then I woke up and said wtf am I dong here anyway… and move on.

DIBS, you can soon re-engage with ENY the Yanks vs Phillies smack talk. Me and my Mets concede this yr. Soon, rest of NL will do the same
