Donatella, you went to the Yankee game last night, right?

And they LOST again, right? Just like the last time YOU went!

You are a JINX!! STAY AWAY FROM YANKEE STADIUM! YOU ARE KILLING THE TEAM!

    Thanks.

Gee, ENY, I cheered like crazy. Thought it might have had something to do with Phil Hughs (bum) who also lost the last time I went. Also it was so hot and sucky and the team was in a total funk. They are now only 1 1/2 games ahead….

GCar, I didn’t mean to discourage you about Corcoran. Of course you are right. The broker is important. I did work with a very good guy in Brooklyn Heights – Michael Corcoran on my apartment sale 10 years ago– but had a very bad time with them when buying a house. That was the boom boom time and I always felt like my broker didn’t show me a property until there was already a pile on. I monitored the site like crazy and sometimes I would call the minute something came up and they couldn’t arrange a viewing until there was already a pile on and or bid already underway. (That was all internal broker jockeying nonsense). I also found their sealed bid process to be completely arbitrary. I missed out on so many places. But in the end, it worked out for me. I got this place through Fillmore which sort of fell between the cracks because the owners were SO CRAZY (getting a divorce) and it was such a mess. So, it worked out, but it is nerve wracking.

    Good luck babe.

  2. Ringo, I think the Bossert would be an incredible conversion! I’m in. But how do we arrange the financing? I also have a few friends with whom I’ve been seriously discussing buying and renovating properties and then either selling or renting them — prolly start with rental units.
