“By the way, is it just me or is every HR department in every organization filled with incompetent lazy asses whom one can never reach when one needs them?”
MM, I am so disappointed that I will miss your tour! I really wanted to go — but there is so much family stuff – sister visiting, family gathering in S.I. which I am coordinating with dealing with the problems of the brownstone gentry class: roof repair and fixing fallen ceiling of tenant. 🙁
Donatella, apparently, the Putnam bar is open now. wonder if Wasder is back already
ooooohhh. How did I miss that? I am doing such a happy dance with this Fulton St. action going on. Japanese restaurant, Beny’s Delice, the crepe place, the bar!!!!!
yippee. We need to go there, M4L!!!!
I know it’s going to be hot for the walking tour this Sunday, but that’s why we are starting at 11am to be done by the time the sun is at full burn in the afternoon, at which time we can quaff a cold one at either Peaches or Saraghina.
Morris, Hill and Sparrow, which is Amzi and myself leading the tours, and Bxgrl on graphics, plan on conducting these tours as late into the year as possible, scheduling permitting, but no one wants to wander around in the dead of winter, it’s just too cold. If the summer gets even hotter in August, we’re not doing that either. We hope people come out and join us. See the flyer for details.
Networking detail – we are doing this as a serious business. If anyone can help us with contacts in schools, businesses, tourist organizations, European or domestic travel clubs, heritage and cultural organizations, banks or other businesses looking into minority neighborhoods, real estate companies, public relations companies, film or commercial scouting agencies, etc, we want to offer our services. Please contact me at montrosemorris@yahoo.com.
DCB, it’s a big down day. from big pic, it’s really not a Wheeeeeeeeeeee cause we’ve been stuck in this trading range for a while already. hence why I remain largely on sidelines, up or down, I can only shove in when it’s a more decisive move in either direction
Cobble, I think it is a subtle thing in postioning yourself, but important, that you do have your own company, your are working, but prefer a corporate environment. Hang in there.

“No good concerts? NY Phil in Prospect Park tonite.”
yeah, there’s a few noteworthy ones, but not nearly as many as previous years, were there seemed to be at least one great free show every week :-\
