MM, my roof guy (given to me by our mutual buddy rh) is coming over on Saturday am. He is pretty cheap and seems to know what he is doing, so I will give you the full 411.
I am definately not feeling like forking over this dough either. It seems like I have had my share of outlays this year. I’ll let you know how he works out on this. I have a guy who is going to do all the sheetrocking for me. I’ll let you know costs. Sorry about kitty 🙁
Well Cobble, I don’t mean to make you feel bad but Mrs C does have a potential opportunity at a fantastic firm that is very supportive of women (mothers mostly it seems) wanting to return to the workforce and is being scheduled for an interview. But to be fair, like you, she found it near impossible these days to get a foot in the door in trying to get back to work. The current opportunity arose strictly due to help we had from a wonderful friend on the inside. She hasn’t even started the interview process but she knows she’s extremely fortunate to even have a shot at something at this point.
S’okay Dona. We’ll do it again, after we do a Crown Heights North tour. We’re in the process of setting up a website, and going whole hog on this.
BTW, the day you posted about your ceiling, the same thing happened to me and my top floor tenant. I’m trying to get the roof people today. This really was the last thing I needed right now, as my emergency budget is extremely low, as I had to do some emergency electrical work last month, and the money is not exactly rolling in at the moment. Plus my cat just joined the ranks of the bionic, costing me almost $6 million.
** Late to the conversation — I totally disagree with Jessibaby when she says, “You’re not 22. You don’t need interview practice.” (paraphrase) That’s silly.
I just recently had an interview to “feel out” a different type of position. There’s a A LOT to be learned at an interview about the company AND about yourself. You make it sound like everything stops at 22. There’s a lot more to an interview than the interviewing “skill” part.
Pete blew me off for lunch!!!!!!!!!!!!! some lame excuse that he’s not around.
DH, you would’ve won $20 if you took the wager

Tybur6 – time is money and Biff can still network without a formal interview.

Everybody better come on this tour!
Donatella, just make yourself available for Montrose Crown Heights tour.
Montrose – have you talked to Urban Oyster? They do the Navy Yard and Bushwick tours. Maybe they could add you to the roster!
“I hope Mrs. C doesn’t take CH’s job :-)”
That would kill me. If Mrs. C gets a job before me, please don’t tell me, Biff. I’ll have to fling myself of the deck.
