  1. Dave, I know what you mean about the Hamptons. I have clients with summer homes there, and don’t get it. The homes are beautiful, as these people have mucho money, but the social scene, the traffic, everything else, feh! Although Sag Harbor is certainly beautiful, New England seaside towns are in plenty of other cheaper and less chichi places.

Money being no object whatsoever, I’m afraid I’d be a serial homebuyer. I’d have a large farm upstate, as I still love the area I grew up in, and it’s only a 4 hour drive. It would have woods, a stream, and land to grow veggies and flowers galore.

I’d also have to have an old home in Jamaica, in the mountains, or one of the other Caribbean islands. Amazingly beautiful countries.

Tuscany would certainly be beautiful as well, as would a place in the English countryside. Also Morocco and Lamu, off the coast of East Africa. I’d be happy with a long term rentals, I wouldn’t need to own.

I don’t think I’d be home very often, with all of that to choose from.

  2. I absolutely love salmon, but I had a hard time finding anything that wasn’t deep-fried. I like fried food, but damn, not for every meal every day. Hopefully the cuisine has come a long way since I was there, but I’m not holding my breath.

  3. “Men’s Health Anal Muscles”???? Mr. B., please clean up the forum page…spam galore!

My second home would be in Ireland. I was astounded by how nice everyone was and how green things remained despite being the dead of winter. Also, I’d wind up losing a lot of weight because the food is horrible.
