I’m pretty familiar with Merida. Those tarantulas! But if you’re only going 6-8 weeks out of the year, you can avoid them by going off-tarantula season.
Are you gay? There’s a nice gay community in Merida, altho the two nicest guys are thinking of moving on to Tulum

rob…Spring Lake, NJ used to be one of the nicest places on the East Coast. It had those big old hotels with the verandas and the rocking chairs (the Monmouth). I think they’ve all been torn down and/or converted to condos. I think there may still be a lot of really nice homes there though.
