Also, about your grandfather and your grandaunt working in thier business into their 90s. I LOVE it, that is my goal and when I said about no rocking chairs for us, I mean, great that we are committed to living an active, engaged life deep into old age.
M4L – the animal spirits are out in full force in the stock market. That Fri Unemployment Number is the “mother of all economic indicators”, so anything is possible.
Fundamentally, the stock market is cheap. If a rebound looks probable I am looking at the SOXL.
dona – I’d think Friday is a bit early & would be hell to travel that day. Wilmington’s only around 2 hours on the train – I’d go down & back on Sat.
Word about visiting – when I’ve had major surgery (& I’ve had a lot) I’ve been really gratified that people stop by but don’t like long visits – they’re very tiring. One puts up w/ it since friends have travelled a long way – for me, usually on the far east side entailing quite a trek. Maybe plan to stop in for 20 minutes or so when you first get there & another 20 an hour or so later. Of course, that’s just me & your pal may feel totally different – but the trip from NY to DE can carry a lot of feeling of obligation.
