lousy morning for subway. F sat at Jay – waiting for reroute along A line. Then we get stuck sitting in tunnel because train in front of us gets stalled or something.
Changed for Lex – that part was ok.
Be on lookout for Kens, big russian spy ring bust. He may need assistance of snappy, cgar, slopefarm etc.
A lot of the bus signs said they were no longer in use for a couple of weeks leading up to the real end-date (which was given but in much smaller type than the alert.) People probably didn’t notice that the date had finally arrived.
“The M wasn’t working this morning, so perhaps not.”
Where do you take it from ditto?
I was talking to some of my Greenpoint friends who transfer from the G to the V (now M) at Court Square and they were complaining how the M doesn’t seem to come nearly as often as the V used to.
m4l, I sincerely hope so. The signs at the bus stops near my house are a bright color and pretty easy to spot. Maybe it’s just that people choose NOT to read and/or are such creatures of habit that they rarely deviate from their routines or expect changes.
Speaking of choosing not to read, I have a friend that admitted to never reading a newspaper this past weekend. I was completely shocked, but quickly realized she’s a bottom feeder anyway.

The L has definitely seemed less crowded these past two mornings. Maybe people are opting to take the M to midtown now! Hooray!!

Instead of the deshlepp to dekalb I jumped on 38 bus, not crowded and ice cold, jumped on Q, ice cold again. Perfect start to day.
two days in a row now my commute has been a crapshow. The MTA seems to be falling apart.
ishtar, maybe they didn’t even see the sign?
