He runs the office — orders supplies, deals with inventory, goes to the bank. Gets to work on time and never misses work — last year they had to make him take Fridays off,
So, I just walked by a colleague’s desk, and I notice a shopping bag sitting there, slightly askew. On my way back to my desk, I see it’s from a Pet Cemetery and Crematorium. Please tell me my colleague does not have the remains of her poor dog or cat sitting in a shopping bag on the edge of her desk ready to take a tumble?!?!?!
So yeah, I would hire Rob for my biz with my own money. Totally.
In fact if I had to rank Plusas for hireability (which I will not do, that would only lead to hurt feelings) he would be pretty close to the top.
I see Rob as a steady worker who gets done what is asked of him and doesn’t ask for a hell of a lot in return and doesn’t have a big ego that needs to be fed. People like that are super valuable.
Rob, you tell me if I’m misjudging your work habits.
“I like Rob’s posts. They make me laugh. I have yet to be offended by anything he says.”
I agree with lechacal. Certainly as to the first 2 points. And I don’t think anything *rob* has said has offended me personally.
“How many brownstoners would hire him in their business with their money? Should we get a poll going?”
I would. He’s kept the same job for 8-9 years. How many people can say that? He runs the office — orders supplies, deals with inventory, goes to the bank. Gets to work on time and never misses work — last year they had to make him take Fridays off, I think, because he had so many unused vacation days! Irreverant does NOT mean that *rob* is irresponsible or untrustworthy. SHEESH!!!
“How many brownstoners would hire him in their business with their money?”
That totally depends on what I would be hiring for. I bet Rob is actually a pretty reliable employee who shows up on time and does what is asked of him.

He’s had the same job for 8 or 9 years?? Then yeah, knowing what little I know about him and based on my people sense he is definitely hireable.
