  1. Many of our online personas are inflated for better reading/verbal play. It’s one reason meeting in person is so important, because it resets everything among us. 11217 said he didn’t want to waste his 30s posting on a blog; it’s more that this is a way to lighten up during difficult work days.

  3. M4L, I don’t know the future, but yes, I don’t see us going 10% lower from here. I use a variety of economic and technical indicators, plus plain old instinct. I think we are making a long basing pattern and setting the stage for a move back up, punctuated with some scary free falls along the way. Not too many agree with me here. I am pretty much a rogue warrior.

  4. Rob is a completely functional, employed, law abiding (mostly) citizen who holds down a job and pays rent and commutes to work on the subway.

    He has a social and online personality that isn’t at all consistent with this but it seems like it works for him and gets him through the day and doesn’t seem to me like he feels any need to normalize himself to fit a worker bee mold. So if he keeps going to work and paying his rent and not holding up liquor stores, who cares if he does all of this other weird shit that he does?
