Slopey – I think both those are a matter of intonation, not semantics. Sincerely stated, they can mean what the words say but they are frequently used as “filler” & don’t carry any real meaning.
rf i went to a working-class high school too.. i wasnt overwhelmed in college tho because it was just a state school and i wasnt taking very hard classes. however i was shocked to see how many AP credits people started out with! our high school offered ZERO AP classes. that’s kinda lame. it was a decent high school tho for the area.
I know a lot of people who don’t give tenants garden access, or only let them use a small area under the deck from the owner’s apartment. I wouldn’t either if I lived in the house. Garden is why I would BUY another house!
ArCATy, Cobble is like a sister to me (albeit a tall, mean, sometimes crazed sister), so please do NOT suggest I check out her hooters!
Re: Murray Bertram High School, one of the first rate teachers the Harvard student may have had is my nephew, new young teacher there. I spent some time with him to try to figure out the right path and I think he found it.

oh totally. imagine getting stuck with a Mr. Roper or Mr. Furley situation!?
oh, and on three’s company they paid exactly 300 dollars a month for rent, cuz there were always episodes about them either accidently losing the rent, or not having enough, etc, etc. weren’t jack, chrissy, and janet adults!? and then when terry replaced chrissy they would still have trouble making 300 dollars (that’s 100 dollars each!). where did all their money go? jack was a chef, terry was a nurse, and janet worked in a flower shop(lol) and yet they still couldnt scrape together 300 dollars a month.
lunch meeting = pre-holiday nooner

“CGar – it’s not that exciting – I just said I think the servers at Hooters wear orange shorts that make their butts look cute.”
