  1. What –

No, the burden of proof is on the guy making the statements. YOU go search craigslist, and get back to me.

Why is it funny that I moved and then complain about the neighborhood? I moved because I didn’t like the neighborhood, so obviously I would say it wasn’t that great. It was crowded, the commute was obnoxious, and I far prefer Brooklyn’s lower skyline.

I paid $1400 for a studio and $3100 for a big (for the UES) 2 BR a short walk from an express stop, when I lived there. I pay $2600 to live in a much larger 2 BR in Park Slope … and I didn’t even get a particularly good deal on my current place. So Brooklyn’s certainly been cheaper for me.

    Snark –

Evidence noted. Either he got a good deal, or it’s a very small place. Either way, $1650 isn’t bad for that area (the low 60s are nicer than the high 80s where I lived, too).

  2. “So I will wave Buh Bye to the Asshat Exodus”

Hey…wouldn’t you be waving “hello” to the Asshat Exodus?

“So that’s 10 PEOPLE I know who are moving to Brooklyn starting March 1.”

The What is right…you guys are starting to sound desperate.

You ALL need to lighten up. Agree to disagree or just decide that someone is “right.” That is, unless you enjoy the battle (which I’d wager is at the bottom of this).

  3. Anybody grow up with Mother Goose Liverwurst? I’m having my sandwich now. it is without a doubt the best liverwurst ever and you cannot get it in Manhattan anymore. Oddly I found it at the Super Food Town on Atlantic.

  4. “”Manhattan is cheaper than Brooklyn” Of really???? Where is anyone going to find a townhouse cheaper in Manhattan. You’re laughable now what.”

Nice Dave but I was talking about APARTMENTS!!!!!

Cwbuecheler Do a Craigslist search and get back to me…

“Also, I lived on the UES for three years. Yes, you can get cheap apartments up there, if you’re willing to walk four or more avenue blocks to the subway each morning and evening. If you get anywhere near the Lex line, the average 1 BR is going to cost you a lot more than $1600, even now.”

There are renting 1 Bedrooms in Asshat Hill for 1700 a month (That’s insane)! Then the funny thing is you move and complain about the neighborhood.

I will see you retards later and BTW I want you to make some of the worse financial decisions of your lives. Please please please!!!!!!! Come to Brooklyn Retards because it will be your Waterloo….

    The What

Someday this war is gonna end…

Friday night I was out with co-workers. One of them just moved to a pre-war building on Lex in the low 60s.

    He rented a 1br for $1650.

The rent had been reduced from the previous tenants, who were paying $1950.

Just anecdotal evidence, your mileage may vary.
