Yes, Donatella, I do take him seriously. Why shouldn’t I? I take everyone here seriously, and I expect to be taken as such. That doesn’t mean we can’t be funny, irreverent, or even obscene at times. I don’t know when Rob got a pass that enables him to be the unofficial court jester on Brownstoner, saying the things out loud that everyone else only thinks, especially on social issues. But among some of you, he has. That’s fine if you want to do that with him, and he obviously thrives on it. But there are many of us here who haven’t granted him that privilege, and will call BS on him or anyone else who posts the same things he does. I don’t expect everyone to agree with me on rob, or on anyone, or anything else. That’s your perogative, just as it is mine, to not join the crowd.

With all due respect Donatella people say the same thing about Sarah Palin and what she is doing to polarize our country right now based on mostly falsehoods is in my opinion doing serious damage to this country.

You don’t give people a pass for being ignorant and a jackass. What ever happened to being informed and a nice person as things to appreciate in a person?

I have to go in a minute, but my point was that MM’s criticisms come from an attitude of taking Rob seriously and not dismissing his opinions. She takes them seriously enough to address them and criticize them.

Thank YOU MM. I was going to make this comment as well since I’ve had my share of fights with Rob and have always been frustrated that so many people here give him a pass. He has been the source of most of my disdain with this blog at times.
